About Pocket Gay

Pocket Gay is a guide for Chicago's LGBTQIA+ community — a friendly, up-to-date guide to the people, places, and plans that make the city feel like home. We focus on what's happening today, tonight, and this week: happy hours, drag bingo, trivia, karaoke, dance nights, food and drink specials, and the neighborhood bars and venues that host them. Instead of scrolling through scattered social posts and outdated calendars, Pocket Gay pulls it all into one place so you can decide where to go in a glance.

The guide is built for locals and visitors alike — whether you live in Chicago, are visiting for Pride weekend, or just moved to Chicago and want to find your regular spot. Every venue is organized by neighborhood, every event by day and type, and the whole thing is designed to be quick to open on your phone while you're already out. Pocket Gay is a celebration of Chicago's LGBTQIA+ events and the venues that keep it welcoming, safe, and fun.
